Sixty days. That is how many days have passed since Josie’s last major nosebleed. It is quite the record. I did the math: Josie was averaging 26 days between nosebleeds since they started in January. To make it to sixty is quite the achievement.
To tell you the truth, I’ve been waiting for it, for the past month and a half – wondering if today would be the day. Stopping palladia only increased my worry. Then reducing the prednisone only increased the chances of it happening.
And today it did. And on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 2. Well, maybe a 1.5 – it sounded a lot worse than it was (she sounded very stuffed up).
It happened early this morning.
Tonight – she’s back to normal. Even happily chewed away at the yak chew for a good hour (not even a dent in that thing!). Then when I took it up, she started carrying around her bones. Yup – she’s fully recovered.
Time to restart the clock. I doubt we’ll hit sixty again, but one can dream.
