Medications

Josie was on a ridiculous amount of medicine. It fluctuated, based on her current needs. Here is the full list of what she took over the course of treatment:

Metronomic meds:

  • Chlorambucil (2.5mg, Tues/Thur/Sat/Sun) – chemo med
  • Prednisone (started at 20mg at the beginning, 7.5mg towards the end, Tues/Thur/Sat/Sun)  – anti-inflammatory
  • Palladia (50mg, Mon/Wed/Fri)

Meds to control side effects of chemo:

  • Pepcid AC (10mg, 2x) – used to protect her gut from all the other drugs she is on
  • Ondansetron (4mg, as needed) – helps with lack of appetite
  • Cerenia (60mg, as needed) – helps with lack of appetite
  • Metronidazole (250mg, as needed) – control diarrhea
  • Enalapril (5mg, 2x) – ACE inhibitor to help manage protein levels in urine while on Palladia

Additional meds:

  • Tramadol (25mg, 2x) – pain management
  • Yunnan Baiyao (2x) – used to control bleeding
  • Clindamycin (150mg, 2x daily) – antibiotic, given one course in case of infection

Needless to say, this is a lot of meds.
